Speak to America

The Speak to America series is a joint series of World Affairs Council of America and World Affairs Council of Washington DC. The World Affairs Council of Washington, DC regularly hosts prominent speakers from around the world to address key issues faced by the international community. These events provide the public with an opportunity to meet policymakers, foreign policy experts, and diplomats who are closely involved with today's crucial international issues.

The Speak to America series is an amazing opportunity for world leaders to speak directly to grassroots America on crucial global issues. In response to the great interest expressed by the nationwide Councils, these events will be telecast live, allowing an estimated 500,000 members and guests to participate in an interactive question-and-answer period following the address. The events are moderated by an internationally recognized media personality and are held at a prominent venue in Washington, DC, accessible to local World Affairs Council members as well as all 87 Councils via telecast.
